During the period of Republic China, the sales network of Luzhou Laojiao Tequ had covered both the south and north regions of Yangtze River. People from areas like Guangzhou and Singapore purchased the liquor for its fame.

The liquor was shipped in Chongqing port and transported out of Sichuan, which left a famous saying “there is a strong fragrance when the ships with liquor passing Kuizhou”.
