Sui and Tang dynasties, along with the cultural conflict brought by great nationality combination in south Luzhou area during the period of Sui Tang and five dynasties, the communication between the yellow wine brewing technology of minority
and the local traditional brewing technology of Han nationality promoted a rapid development of the brewing industry in Luzhou. In Tang dynasty, the production mode of manor brewing workshop of the local aristocrats indicated the brewing productivity of Luzhou at that time had reached a high level. ZHENG Gu, a poet in Tang dynasty, once wrote, “I'd like to search a master in the South, for there is a chance to drink lichee liquor in Chongqing and Luzhou.”
