Luzhou Laojiao Tequ liquor was awarded the golden medal of the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition, bearing the prestige of “spreading aroma for four hundreds years, deserving the golden medal over ninety years”. It gained the fame of “famous Chinese liquor” in the 1952 National liquor testing conference, thus turning into one of the first national “four famous liquor”. It was then confirmed as the typical representative of strong aromatic liquor, which settled the station of originator of strong aromatic in Chinese liquor industry. Hereafter, in 1963, 1979, 1984, 1989, the Luzhou Laojiao Tequ liquor was the only one to won the “famous Chinese liquor” for five times in succession among all the strong aromatic liquors. It became world-famous owing to the special style and features of “full of aroma, especially after drinking, clear with long-lasting aftertaste”.In 1992, the registered trademark “Luzhou” of Luzhou Laojiao Tequ liquor was the first one in its field to rank in “first national ten famous trademark”.
In 2006, it was granted “Chinese traditional brand”.
In 2008, Luzhou Laojiao Tequ liquor has passed the national standard checkup of geographical indicative product organized by Chinese standardization center.
